I am a first-generation Egyptian-American, currently building my career as a journalist, and constantly seeking new ways to tell stories.  I am passionate about the world of news and information and find the topics of immigration, race, and gender particulary intriuging, though I will never turn down the opportunity to learn something new. I am a self-proclaimed jazz enthusiast and my hobbies include reading and cooking!
